Abstract

Effects of environmental pollution on human health are increasingly gaining more attention globally. Environmental pollutants are chemicals that result from human activities, which end up in the environment and subsequently pose risks to human health. Several of these chemicals are collectively known as endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs), which are nowadays gaining more importance in terms of public health due to their widespread effects on human health and potential cause of morbidity. This review aims to highlight the hidden burden of EDCs on human health.
