Comparative study of the efficacy of atibala avalela and darvi amalaki avaleha in pittaj mutrakruchchhra

Mutrakruchchhra can be correlated with urinary tract infection (UTI). Due to rapid increasing urbanization, there is an inadequate and unhygienic sanitary facility at many work places. Thus the patients of Mutrakruchchhra were increasing day by day. In Mutrakruchchhra, there is involvement of basti which is pradhana sthana of vata. Difficulty in micturition or dysuria is known as ‘Mutrakruchchhra’. Mutravaha srotas get vitiated by intake of fluid/ drinks or food or sexual intercourse while having urge of micturition and by Suppression of urge of micturition. Total 60 patients of Pittaj Mutrakruchchhra were selected for the clinical study and divided into two groups. The main objective of present comparative study is to access and to compare the therapeutic efficacy of Atibala and Darvi-Amalaki Avaleha in management of Pittaj Mutrakruchchhra. It was observed that both the drugs selected for this study provided significant relief in signs and symptoms of patients of Pittaj Mutrakruchchhra.
