Abstract

In Rasa shastra we mainly deals with the Rasa dravyas, their Shodhana, Marana and their unique preparations like Chaturvidha rasayana, satwapatana, Druti and some tailas which contain Rasoushadhi’s as main ingredients. Kushta Kala Anala Taila is a potent formulation in Rasa Shastra, designed primarily for the management of Kushta roga, particularly Vataja Kushta, a condition associated with various skin disorders influenced by tridosha imbalance. This documentation outlines the preparation process of Kushta Kala Anala Taila, following the Gandhaka Druti method, utilizing key ingredients including shuddha Parada, shuddha Gandhaka, shuddha Manashila, and shuddha Haratala. Organoleptic evaluations reveal its dark brown color, thick consistency, and distinct odor. Analytical evaluations indicate a particle size of 242 nm, facilitating its absorption into the skin and demonstrating efficacy against bacterial agents through notable zones of inhibition. Each component is recognized for its Kushtaghna and Krimighna properties, supported by proven evidence of their effectiveness in treating various Kushta rogas. The formulation aims to enhance antimicrobial activity through the synergistic action of its ingredients, providing a comprehensive approach to skin disease management.
